10/27/21-10/28/21 ASIST

Join us for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), a two-day, interactive training in suicide first-aid. As the world’s leading suicide intervention workshop, ASIST features powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations.

You’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive.

You don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can be learned and used by anyone.

Two knowledgeable, supportive trainers from Partners for Children’s Mental Health (PCMH) will guide you through the course, ensuring your comfort and safety.

A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.

Please reach out to info@pcmh.org if you have any questions.

ASIST addresses topics that can sometimes be difficult, including mental health problems and suicide; for some, these topics can trigger emotional distress. In order to support all participants during this training event, we want you to be aware of the following:

  • Please clear your schedules for the full day of the event and plan to attend for the entire time.  We will provide breaks during the day, but they will be short.
  • Please be aware that a facilitator will contact you in the event you leave the training prior to its conclusion.
  • Given the heaviness of this subject, we recommend that you plan to engage in intentional self-care following the event.
