Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth face extensive, systemic discrimination across settings. Lack of knowledgeable providers is one of the most commonly cited barriers to healthcare for TGD youth.
At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the difference between biological sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual/romantic orientation.
- Utilize gender-affirming and competent terminology to provide appropriate care.
- Recognize, understand, and navigate disparities and barriers to care for TGD.
- Apply practical gender-affirming skills when working with TGD youth and their families.
