5/22/23 Working with Gender Diverse Youth for Advanced Practitioners
Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth face extensive, systemic discrimination across settings. This training will provide a deeper examination of working with gender diverse youth. We will review the history of gender diversity, review the Standards of Care developed by The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and discuss evidenced-informed care rooted in a Gender-Affirmative Model of Care. This is an advanced training and is appropriate for practitioners that have completed the first session, Introduction to Providing Gender Affirming Care to Transgender and Gender Diverse Youth or have a basic understanding of gender affirming and competent care for TGD youth.
This training will be delivered by Jonna Finocchio, a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience working with gender diverse individuals at various levels of care.
