4/11/24 Introduction to Providing Gender Affirming Care to Transgender & Gender Diverse Youth

Transgender and gender diverse (TGD) youth face extensive, systemic discrimination across settings. Lack of knowledgeable providers is one of the most commonly cited barriers to healthcare for TGD youth. The aim of this training is to offer practical ways to provide gender-affirming and competent care. This session will review gender diversity as a construct, review terminology, recognize disparities and barriers to care, and provide applicable skills for working with TGD youth and their families.
